Artist Statement:
I am a member of 14 South Artists Inc. and Southern Wisconsin Art Guild (SWAG). My work has been featured at JNJ Craftworks (Verona), Kylee's (Middleton), and the Oregon Art Center. I have also taught classes with Oregon Adult educations, the Glass Bead Show, and JNJ Craftworks.
My background in art started when I was young. I have always been interested in "making thing". This interest grew into creating intricate jewelry designs with seed beads. Later I learned to paint with watercolors, which led to creating unique resin art featuring images of my paintings. My art practice continued into fiber with crochet. I make a variety of Amigurumi and have designed wearable crochet pieces using the Mosaic technique. I continue to think of new ideas to combine my talents which can be shared with the public.
My educational background is in Recreation Therapy Degree where I have a degree from UW-LaCrosse. My passion is working with seniors at Four Winds Manor Skilled Care and Rebab in Verona for 30 plus year. My art education is mostly self-taught with the use of books, videos, classes, and many years of practice.
